01-10-11: Additional Firefighter

The Piedmont Fire Department has hired our third salaried firefighter.

02/15/11: RIT Pack

The Piedmont Fire Department has taken delivery of our new RIT pack. This is the first RIT pack that we have ever had.

03/05/11: 27th Annual Banquet

The Piedmont Fire Department met with our current firefighters and their families, retired firefighters and supporters of the fire department at our 27th annual banquet, where we observed and rewarded the accomplishments and efforts of 2010. There were many awards and honors presented. The Firefighter of the Year for 2010 was Captain Tim Heinrich!

03/26/11

6 of our firefighters successfully completed Structural Firefighter 1 School.

04/22/11

The Piedmont Fire Department has taken delivery of a new TNT Hydraulic Ram, used for vehicle extrication.

05/24/11

The City of Piedmont received extensive damage from an EF-5 Tornado. Fire Chief Andy Logan, FF/EMT Trevor Wittick & FF/EMT Justin Kaus all lost their homes in the tornado. There were 2 fatalities in the City of Piedmont. The Piedmont Fire Department would like to thank all of the surrounding fire departments for their assistance after the tornado.

The Piedmont Fire Department has hired our fourth salaried firefighter.

10/22/11

The Piedmont Fire Department hosted a Tanker Shuttle Course put on by OSU FST. Surrounding departments that attended were: Okarche FD, Cashion FD, Deer Creek FD, Richland FD, El Reno FD and Big 4 FD.

The Piedmont Fire Department hosted CPR training for 16 of our local citizens.

The Piedmont Fire Department hosted our current firefighters and families, along with retired firefighters and fire department supporters at our 28th annual banquet where we observed and rewarded the accomplishments and efforts of 2011. There were many awards and honors presented. The Firefighter of the Year for 2011 was Firefighter Mike Morgan!
